Unlike the existing foreign seasonal worker system, which only works at farmhouse workplaces after labor contracts with individual farmers, the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation signs a labor contract with workers and dispatches workers on a daily basis to farms in need of workers.
It will be implemented for the first time as a project by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and will be carried out in 5 pilot projects in 2022, followed by 19 last year and 55 cities and counties (70 agricultural cooperatives), which have increased significantly this year.
Farmhouses that require short-term manpower can only call foreign workers to work when they need workers without directly hiring them.
As a worker who has entered through formal procedures, there is no need to worry about cracking down on illegal immigrants.
Above all, it is receiving great response because it is not obligated to provide accommodation at farms and also has the effect of suppressing the rise in labor costs in areas where the project is implemented.
